Golden Eagle Population Reaches Historic Record in Southern Scotland

Southern Scotland’s golden eagle population has reached a historic milestone, climbing above 50 birds for the first time in over a century following intensive restoration efforts. The landmark conservation achievement was highlighted by acclaimed actor Dame Judi Dench, who officially named one of the region’s newest wild eagles “GoldenEye” in a tribute to her legendary role in the James Bond film series.
